CONCEPT: The sea gives, but it mostly takes. A tale of women, wolves, and mighty waters, The Ocean Was Once a Puddle is an apocalyptic fable and Pacific Northwest retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Cordelia might be drawn to its shores, but her family forbids her to go near the sea-that-not-always-was, the-ocean-that-was-once-a-puddle, lest she cries a flood that will make the sea rise as it has every generation.
